バイオグラフィー
Mihaela Popescu was born in Craiova, Romania, in 1965. She received the Engineering degree and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Craiova, Romania, in 1988 and 2001, respectively. She also received a Certificate of Habilitation in Electrical Engineering in 2016.
She is currently a Professor at Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Department of Electromechanics, Environment and Applied Informatics, University of Craiova, Romania and Director of Doctoral School of Electrical and Energy Engineering. Her main field of interest includes energy efficiency, power converters, adjustable-speed drives, active power filters, and power quality, with more than 250 journal and conference papers. She obtained through national competition, as a director, 5 multiannual research projects with an equivalent total budget of about 2,226,000 Euro, she was a research team member in other 20 projects, and is the author of 6 patents.
Prof. Popescu is an expert of the Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance Higher Education. She is a senior member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), a member of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, IEEE Industry Applications Society, a senior member of the Association of Computer Science and Information Technology and an academic member of the Electrical Engineering Research Unit in Athens Institute for Education and Research (ATINER).
