I am an accomplished researcher and academician with expertise in bioengineering aspects of natural product and their potential applications in cancer treatment. My research areas include Cancer Biology, Nanotechnology, Drug delivery, Biochemistry, Microbiology and application of Artificial Intelligence in Biomedicine.
My academic journey began with a B.Sc. in Biochemistry from Bayero University, Kano, Nigeria, followed by an M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from Cyprus International University Nicosia. My Doctoral research, supervised by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nahit RIZANER and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doga KAVAZ focused on the potential of Albizia lebbeck stem bark extracts and zinc oxide nanoparticles synthesized using the plant aqueous extract in combating breast cancer. This research has since been recognized for its significant contributions to the field.
I previously worked as a research assistant, lecturer, and researcher at Cyprus International University. Currently, I am a dedicated faculty member at the Operational Research Centre in Healthcare, Near East University, via Mersin 10, Turkey. In this role, I am giving lectures for some courses in the Industrial and Bioengineering department, and I continue to contribute to the academic community with my research and publications. To date, I have 45 publications published in prestigious journals within the field, 12 of which were since my assumption as a faculty member at Near East University, and many more are currently under revision. I have also had the privilege of presenting my work at 10 conferences. My research has garnered significant attention, with 591 citations and 9 h-indexes to date. My extensive publication records reflect my commitment to scholarly excellence and the pursuit of knowledge.
