I was born on May 23, 1971 in Bjelovar, Croatia. I graduated in 1997. and received his doctorate in 2007 at the Veterinary Faculty of the University of Zagreb (VEFUNIZG). From 1997 until the end of 2020, I was employed at the Veterinary Station Đurdevac d.o.o. , and after that I work as a regional sales director at Mount-trade d.o.o., Garešnica, Croatia.
From March 5, 2024, I was elected as an assistant professor at the Department of Poultry Diseases with a Clinic at the Veterinary Faculty of the University of Zagreb, Zagreb, Croatia. In 2012, I was elected to the scientific title of scientific advisor for the scientific field of Biomedicine and Health, the field of Veterinary Medicine, and in 2017 to the title of assistant professor. I was a mentor and commentator on 8 graduate theses. I participated and am participating (COSTAction-CA22109) as an associate in scientific projects.
So far, I have published more than 200 scientific and professional papers in international and domestic journals (147 articles in journals: original scientific papers-114, review papers-15, professional papers-18). Out of 45 scientific papers published in CC cited journals, I am the first author in 21. Other indexed works are cited in the following databases: 88 Scopus, 69 WoSCC, SCI-Exp, SSCI and/or A&HCI and 25 Medline. I participated in numerous domestic and international meetings (41 summaries of presentations from meetings, 64 contributions from meetings published in proceedings and 7 contributions published in magazines, including 2 invited lectures at international meetings).
In addition, I have published 18 professional papers in journals and I am the author and co-author of 4 university textbooks (Farming of sheep and goats (2010), Breeding of rabbits, hamsters and guinea pigs (2012), Physiology and pathology of llamas and alpacas (2018) and Breeding of camelids (2021)), a university handbook (Zamorčići (2014) and one author's book (Deve (2017). I have reviewed over 60 scientific and professional articles in numerous veterinary journals and 2 student papers submitted to the Rector's Award Competition
